Jovan Quallo

Hailing from Boston, MA, Jovan Quallo moved to the Greater Nashville area in 2003 as a teenager and in 2013 he graduated from MTSU with a degree in music education. After finishing his studies, he quickly became an accomplished, 3x Grammy credited, in-demand saxophonist in Nashville’s diverse music scene.

Jovan has already had an exciting performing career that has taken him across the US, South America, Asia, Europe, and Australia. He has had the privilege of performing and/or touring with nationally acclaimed artists such as Ledisi, Cece Winans, Irma Thomas, Martina McBride, Brett Eldredge, Larry Carlton, Robben Ford, Boyz II Men, Charlie Wilson, Jake Owen, Meghan Trainor, Dionne Warwick, Keb Mo, Johnny Mathis, Aloe Blacc, Reba McIntyre, Dan + Shay, Chris Tomlin, MercyMe, Trisha Yearwood, Jeff Coffin, Ronnie Milsap, Allen Stone, Darius Rucker, Eric Krasno, Joe Bonamassa, and many others!

Jovan has played on countless recordings in the Jazz, Latin/Salsa, Funk/R&B, Pop/Rock, Country and Blues styles, including Grammy Award winning records. A few notable artists he has recorded for are Dionne Warwick (“Voices of Christmas” w/Johnny Mathis), Jake Owen (“American Love”, “Greatest Hits”), Keb’ Mo’ (“Blues Americana” - 3 GRAMMY nominations, “TajMo” - won Grammy for Best Contemporary Blues album, “Oklahoma” - won GRAMMY for Best Contemporary Blues album), Joe Bonamassa, and Mike Farris (“Silver & Stone”).

Also a strong advocate of music education, Jovan currently maintains his own private woodwind studio of 40+ middle and high school students in Nashville and the surrounding areas. Students from his lesson studio have gone to be selected for the prestigious Interlochen Center for the Arts, Berklee College Of Music Performance Workshops, the National Youth Orchestra, the Tennessee Governor's School for the Arts, The TMEA All State Honor Bands, and have gone on to receive music scholarships from various universities.
