Artist Impact Statement
Such an honor to be a part of this monumental work. When I first saw the words of the Slave Ship Captain, I was unsure I could or wanted to sing them. It’s part of the story, a dark and horrendous side. It asks the question, possibly one that all of us should ask ourselves, would you be capable of doing these things? Hannibal has so eloquently penned the struggle of the history. Given the current state of our being, now is absolutely the right time to speak these truths.
