Cameron Lambert

With more than 10 years of experience as an audio professional, Cameron Lambert is as comfortable working in live sound and recording as he is on sound stages and in remote locations. Having been a sound designer and mixer for musical theater, film, concerts and records, Cameron’s expertise in immersive audio makes him uniquely equipped for modern productions which often demand pushing both creative and technical boundaries to engage audiences as part of the performance. Cameron’s greatest strength is his ability to draw from his varied past experience in order to adapt and overcome the unique challenges of each
new project.

The foundation of Cameron’s sound design is service to and integration with the other elements of the greater artistic work. This requires an intimate understanding of what the piece is, its audience, its story arc and the reason for its creation. Cameron believes great sound design should never draw attention to itself or the designer; its presence should be felt, going unnoticed until it is no longer present.

For The Jonah People, Cameron was tasked with creating an immersive audio experience inside the beautiful Laura Turner Concert Hall. Integrating immersive audio into a traditional shoebox-style room is no simple task and required some outside-the-box thinking. Many hours were spent planning, programming, and collaborating with the other designers to create an engaging, fully immersive experience that draws the audience into the performance.
