Brandon “Sunni” Corlew, a native of Nashville, has always had a passion for dance. Films, plays, and attending community events inspired him to pursue his love for dance and sought out opportunities to learn. Growing up in a single parent household made affording classes difficult, however, he made the best of his situation and continued to push toward his dreams. Today, Brandon continues to leave his mark in the world of dance. He has danced in cities such as Atlanta, Charlotte, and most recently in his hometown Nashville where he has danced professionally for 2 years; his first big stage performance being Dave Ragland and Shabaz Ujima’s ‘Steal Away’ in December 2021. As a queer black man, Brandon hopes to push the boundaries of masculinity in dance through his eclectic style and vision.
